Providing Basic Care

Suggested time: 14 hours theory / 40 hours clinical (suggested — largest hands-on module)

This module covers the core hands-on skills of personal care: bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting/elimination, skin care, and the use of prosthetic and assistive devices. These are the tasks residents most often need help with and the ones where dignity and gentleness matter most.
