ACEs Aware Webinar Series #3 - Continuity of Care @ Webinar

ACEs Aware Webinar Series for School Districts’ Health
Services Providers and Practitioners

Webinar Series Description:
Unrecognized and untreated adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) is a critical healthcare issue. In underserved populations, there has been a significant increase in youth trauma stemming from ACEs, resulting in physical, emotional, and behavioral health problems later in life. School-based healthcare providers are the first line of defense in detecting and preventing further occurrence of ACEs within the K-12 population. The ACEs Aware Initiative is part of a statewide effort, led by the Office of the California Surgeon General, to cut Adverse Childhood Experiences and toxic stress in half in one generation. In this webinar series, school-based healthcare providers will share in the lessons learned about screening and treating for ACEs. The series is free-of-charge to all participants.
