    In my approach to establish trust and comfort for Alex, I would let him be aware of what I am doing and explaining it all in a way a 7 year-old can understand. I want him to be at ease and make sure Mrs. Lopez understands the procedures so that she isn’t as concerned. Because Alex is anxious I need to speak in a reassuring tone and have my eye contact at the child’s eye level.
