-How would you approach alex to establish trust and comfort during his visit?

The first thing i would do is introduce myself and ask him calmly how he is feeling today then if i notice he is anxious and looking nervous ill simply try comforting him and try to be amusing but also try to get the examination done a little quickly and also be reassuring him every step of the way. all within age appropriate manner.
