The intent of this course of study is to prepare students age 16 and up with the opportunity to become a qualified Medical Assistant for an entry-level position in a variety of practice settings. The student will prepare to become an effective multi-skilled member of a health team and employable as a Medical Assistant at the conclusion of completing the core competency. Upon completion of this course, students shall obtain an industry-standard certification for Medical Assistant.
