MA/Nurse
The role I chose was MA/Nurse. My task was to write down important information/Documents for new patients coming into a clinic as a walk in. Also to update patients charts when they come in as well for whatever reason it maybe be. Also when we take there vitals and any reports in the last 6 to 3 months.
- What challenges did you encounter during the simulation, and how did you overcome them? While having the clinic busy and having new patients come in is a struggle to get them into the system while also having patients come in for an appointment. To overcome the struggle I maintain professional and just ask them for the important information such as DOB, Name First and Last, Insurance card, Address of home, consent form signature.
- How does each role contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of patient care? As a Ma/ Nurse our role contribute to overall efficiency and quality of patient care such as paperwork, vitals, and communication is very important since they work in children or all ages and then need to feel safe when getting looked at or checked so talk nicely.
- Why is compliance with HIPAA regulations critical in managing patient records? To ensure safety on the patients confidentiality and security to the healthcare information and to be able to provide healthcare insurance to everyone in need of medical help.
- How do efficient procedures and the use of technology enhance patient-centered care in pediatric healthcare settings? We as MA/Nurses can just look up their name and DOB and look up their records instead of going though many cabin flies to look for a patients, its more inconvenient to have technology. Plus its more better to update patients records if they are existing patients and need to look into their records.

Irma’s Scenario 2
I would have the healthcare professionals demonstrate how to do ordinary care, all safety protocols and have the new hiring do it so see what they missed and can go back to fix their mistakes. Discuss how opening day works and how they need to think fast but not rush the patients and techniques that will help them out. Also a big main section as a health care employee is communication to all patients and how we talk to them so they can trust us and feel comfortable with us.

The issue is A Pediatric Hospital want to achieve is to build trust so families and patients aren’t concerned on the cleanliness in the clinic because they are trying to avoid cross contamination with something or someone. So what the workers at the clinic need to do is spread news that they are letting the patients that enter this hospital know they are very serious on cleanliness. If the Hospital wasn’t clean or safe for families and other patients they would have to shut down until they get an inspection and workers would be out of a job or a little bit. Also families wont be able to be seen for a while. The people can also get health risk factors when they are somewhere its dirty and unsafe for anyone like catch a disease, infection, or life risk all because the hospital wasn’t following protocol to keep everything clean.

1- I would say ” hi Alex what are you doing today?, how are you feeling? My Name is Sandra A medical Assistant, tell me a little about yourself.”
2- My tone and language would be friendly, happy. nice. and my tone would be excited, pumped up and ready to bring out my childlike voice to help Alex feel more relaxed with me.

Odalis, reply was amazing and straight forward and she really talked about ways to make patient feel more safe that their information wont be shown or told to people in the clinic or hospital.

IHI Emmanuel,
I love how since the clinic is for children you added to have them work on paintings to distract them and also a play ground section so children don’t get bored or feel scared they can go play to cool down from the nerves. and having cartoon on the wall so the kids are fascinated in the color pictures.

Your idea on making bins for all certain objects is an awesome idea for hospitals and clinical places to keep everything safe for yourself and patients to be safe. Also of you thinking on putting trash bins in parking lots to keep everything clean and safe.
